- Autocratic leaders can create challenges
- Provide food and childcare
- Think about timing of events, for example school holidays can prevent family involvement
- Make sure you plan ahead: if you invite a patient to a meeting as a patient rep you need to meet them beforehand to explain the background etc
- Clinicians may not be familiar with PPE
- Commissioners may not implement PPE themselves
- Data is not always used to inform patients or make change
- Difficult (but not impossible!) in the face of financial cuts
