The Toolkit

toolkit

This section of the website is a database of methods you can use to do PPE. These have all previously been used in SRHH (identified by us).  They cover a huge range of engagement, from one-off consultations to services designed by service users.  Most are London-based examples as this is a London Sexual Health Programme [hyperlink] initiative, however, most are applicable to any area of the UK.

How do I choose which tool to use?

  • This resource is designed as a ‘toolbox’ for you to choose which methods are appropriate and achievable for your unique service.
  • You should match the method to the goals you hope to achieve through PPE.
  • There is no right or wrong method and it usually works best if you use methods in combination to ‘cover all your bases’.
  • The search menu on the right allows you to search by keywords or choose from a list of methods, services or groups
  • The 'methods' section gives an overview of the range of PPE methods

Each tool comes with:

  • A description of a real-life example explaining how this tool has been used and the impact it had
  • Contact details and/or hyperlinks for you to contact someone who has used the tool successfully
  • Which patient/user groups the tool has been used with

Do you have an example of PPE in SRHH?
If so please complete the template and email to Ava: avalorenc@hotmail.com and we will add it to the toolkit!

We are aware that there are many other excellent examples of PPE in SRHH, but we chose to include only one or two for each method.
