Audrey Salmon

Audrey has recently joined the team on an interim basis as a Senior Strategist, supporting the development of the HIV and sexual and reproductive health (SRH) strategy for London.

Audrey is a senior public sector leader with over 30 years’ experience across public health, community services and children’s services, delivering and commissioning complex and high-value programmes at local, regional and London-wide scale. She has been working in local government as an interim Strategic Commissioner for the last 6 years.

She is committed to working collaboratively with partners across organisational and borough boundaries to co-design services and drive system-wide improvement.

Audrey's interest in sexual health has spanned more than 3 decades.  She began her career in 1990 as a HIV and sexual health outreach worker for the BME community in West London.  She later became Programme Coordinator for a North London Healthy Schools programme, where she co-developed a specific module for Sexual and Relationship Education based on a whole-school approach.

Since the conception of the London Sexual Health Transformation Programme, Audrey has led and contributed to the re-procurement of integrated sexual and reproductive health services across multiple London sub-regions, securing value for money contract for London and improving service quality across the system.

Audrey is driven by a clear commitment to improving population health outcomes and reducing inequalities, with a particular focus on sexual health systems, regional collaboration, and sustainable public services.
