Jennifer Reiter

Jennifer is an experienced public health commissioner and strategic leader with a passion for sexual and reproductive health (SRH). She is especially interested in making SRH services more accessible, attractive and responsive, and working collaboratively with residents, service providers, commissioners, policy makers and other stakeholders to do so. She has experience working across local government, central government and the voluntary sector in commissioning and strategy development.

Jennifer joined the London Sexual Health Programme from Lambeth Council’s public health team where she spent 11 years primarily commissioning SRH services and was most recently their Associate Director of Public Health Commissioning.

Across 2022-23, she went on secondment to the Northern Ireland Office where she provided commissioning expertise to the Secretary of State on commissioning abortion services for the first time in Northern Ireland.

She has also managed contracts for HIV Prevention England, trained health and social care professionals on abortion and pregnancy decision-making and was a researcher with the SACHA study, the largest research project on abortion to be carried out to date in the UK.
