HIV and Sexual and Reproductive Health Strategy Update
Work on the new London HIV and Sexual and Reproductive Health Strategy continues to progress at pace. The Needs Assessment phase is now underway, holding their first task and finish group meeting and supporting the evidence base that will underpin the strategy and help identify key priorities, opportunities and areas of unmet need across London. The Communications & Engagement Task and Finish Group has convened, bringing together colleagues from across the system to help shape engagement activity, messaging and stakeholder involvement throughout strategy development.
Since the last update, the Strategy Blueprint has been agreed and signed off. The blueprint sets out the case for change, strategic direction and proposed objectives for the strategy, including a stronger focus on prevention, reducing inequalities, improving reproductive health outcomes and addressing fragmentation across the system.
Alongside this, wider engagement activity continues. Mona Hayat and Jennifer Reiter have met with Dr. Sue Mann to discuss strategic alignment and opportunities to strengthen connections with the national women's health priorities. Further stakeholder engagement, evidence gathering and programme planning are ongoing as we move into the next phase of strategy development.
